World Stage Design 2005
Toronto, Canada

A team of designers and technicians from Ohio University helped to construct World Stage Design 2005 in Toronto this March.  Our Technical Directors worked with York College and The Canadian Opera Company Shop to build the structure.  Under the guidance of Environment Designer, Ursula Belden and Catalog Artist, Nic Ularu, two of my OU colleagues and I managed the art work and did the layouts for each panel.  My job in particular was to track all of the pieces, locate missing pieces and art work that was still in the mail, and to work with Ursula to place the work within the exhibit.  It was wonderful to get a close-up look at all of the design work before the exhibit was open to the public and to meet the designers at the opening.
