Her collection is stolen and she is held prisoner.

The central character lives in a rowhouse

in London and is surrounded by her expensive

art collection.  A con man moves in and

holds her prisoner while he sells off her collection.

I wanted the set to be about the pictures,

so I exploded the walls.  The wallpaper panels

stand several feet behind the arches where

units of paintings hang in the air.  The space

really had a feeling of great depth that shocked

the audience who was used to the tiny stage.

This show is about 2 great friends, one who lives in London and one who lives in Cape Cod.  The stage is split between their two houses.  The director asked that we see the rooms and then each woman has a window to the view of their world.  The surround should be “the place where emails go when you click send.”  I created a space that is realistic around the women and sweeps up into a background of outer space.  The windows were displays with scale buildings and other elements of Cape Cod and London.  Trees branches flew in and changed color to help mark the changing seasons over the year.
